Welcome to Salle Joseph's Club

Salle Joseph fencing salle d'armes (the Salle) is a three-weapon fencing club that meets every Friday evening from 7.30.pm. to 10.00.pm. at St Joseph's College, Beulah Hill, London SE19).

Established in 1985, it is a thriving organisation drawing its membership from a wide geographical catchment area, and from all ages and both sexes. Its mixed ability Membership offers a convivial environment in which the noble and athletic sport of sword fencing may be practiced.

The Salle receives excellent coaching from accomplished practitioners, enabling both novices and experienced fencers to fully develop their skills in the sport.

The Salle's Membership is noted for its friendliness and its good sportsmanship and it enjoys excellent relationships with many other clubs both in and outside of South East Region.

The Salle runs the widely known Twenty Four Hour Fencing Marathon, which has, to date, succeeded in raising some £25,000 for charitable causes. Plans are being laid to run the Seventh Marathon in May 2002.
