The Author and team

The Author Mark Quinlan has been researching his books for about four years. Initially there was only one book but it soon became apparent that the chapter on British War Memorials, originally in Remembrance, was clearly a book in its own right.

These are the first books he has written and two more subject related books are in the planning and research stage.

Mark is always the first to point out that there are a number of other people who have made the venture possible, and who have given him support and encouragement when needed, but more importantly practical help as well. they are listed below.

Samuel J Brooks, whose excellent photography, has saved the author thousands of words of description. As mentioned elsewhere on the site Sam's photographs will eventually be added to this site in full colour as a permanent archive.

Michael McAloon and Richard Graham for proof reading and editing the books. A daunting task and seemingly at one point a never ending one as the books grew.

Web-Mouse design for their work on the website and for hosting it and for all their other advice on design and technical issues.

There are also countless others who have given ther time and advice and in many cases important information that has been included in the book and Mark passes on his thanks to all of them.
